Every journey has a guiding force, and for SMC Group, that force was Late Shri Sewa Ram Ji, our Founder, Mentor, and Inspiration. His vision, determination, and unwavering commitment laid the foundation of what the organization stands for today.

In 1975, with an entrepreneurial spirit and a desire to create a meaningful and long lasting impact, Late Shri Sewa Ram Ji stepped into the business world by establishing Aggarwal Zarda Factory Pvt. Ltd. His ventures were not just about a usual business set up, but about making an impact in improving the lives for his next generation and less privileged communities around his areas of operation.

He believed in staying closely connected to the people he served and worked with by often meeting them on the ground, understanding their challenges firsthand, and listening to their needs. These real world insights shaped his decisions, allowing him to build businesses that not only grew but also made everyday life easier for the communities around him. Over time, he emerged as one of the most respected and successful entrepreneurs in his native region in Uttar Pradesh.

His entrepreneurial journey did not stop there. Recognizing the potential of the dairy sector and its deep connection with rural livelihoods, he then ventured into a new line of business by entering the dairy sector, recognizing the potential of the sector to create both economic value and meaningful impact. With this step of entering into the dairy business, he had not only expanded the group’s business horizon but also created opportunities that directly supported farmers and strengthened rural communities in his native and nearby areas.

In 1991, he established SMC Foods Ltd., followed by Creamy Foods Ltd. in 2003. These milestones marked a significant step not only in building a strong dairy business but also in creating sustainable opportunities for farmers. Both plants went on to play a vital role in strengthening the rural economy and supporting thousands of dairy producers.

Yet, his drive to build and expand remained ever strong. In 2004, under his leadership, the group entered new horizons with the establishment of SMC Power Generation Ltd., marking its presence in the steel and power sectors as well.

Today, the legacy of Late Shri Sewa Ram Ji continues to guide the Madhusuan Group. His foresight, values, and relentless pursuit of excellence have shaped the organization’s growth across industries. Above all, his emphasis on quality and integrity lives on, forming the very foundation of the Madhusudan brand.
